Awkward moments with Shakespeare

I just started reading Romeo and Juliet for my English class and I immediately realized how awkward it's going to be. So every time I find something awkward in the story I'll make a note of it. Here's the awkward stuff from scenes 1-4.

---

Sampson: Gregory, on my word, we'll not carry coals.

---

Sampson: 'Tis true; and therefore women, being the weaker vessels, are ever thrust to the wall. Therefore I will push Montague's men from the wall and thrust his maids to the wall.

Gregory: This quarrel is between our masters and us their men.

Sampson: 'Tis all one. I will show myself a tyrant. When I have fought with the men, I will be civil with the maids-- I will cut off their heads.

Gregory: The heads of the maids?

Sampson: Ay.

---

Sampson: My naked weapon is out. Quarrel!!! {this has gotta be my favorite. xD}

--

Sampson: Nay, as they dare. I will bite my thumb at them, which is to disgrace them if they bear it.

Abram: Do you bite your thumb at us, sir?

Sampson: I do bite my thumb, sir.

---

Servant: God gi' go-gen. I pray sir, can you read?

---

Nurse: An honor? Were not I thine only nurse, I would say thou hadst sucked wisdom from thy teat.

---

Romeo: Direct my sail! On, lusty gentlemen!

Benvolio: Strike, drum.

March Music finds

Hello readers!
Pop music is constantly evolving, so I decided to share some of the music I've discovered and loved listening to this March. Top ten!

My tenth place song is Part of Me by Katy Perry. This song has been out for a while but I've always found it really inspirational and it's one of my favorite songs on my iPod.
Coming in ninth place is Heartbeat by Childish Gambino. This is probably the only song of his that I like, and it's because of the piano. (To be frank, I think it's worse with lyrics, I don't even bother listening to them)
Eighth would have to be Harlem Shake. I sorta got caught up in it, but it's just because the beat is really catchy. I'm a picky person when it comes to music, it's gotta have some good drums, synths, or bass. Then I adore it. I have specific tastes when it comes to things I find catchy.
Number seven is Don't Stop The Party by the Black Eyed Peas. I was once sooo addicted to this song. Every night at 10, when I was still in Cebu, this one radio station would play it and I would jam out to it on my nano until it was overwritten by the other songs. I LOVE the beat of this song, it's entirely catchy.
Sixth on my top ten list is Sweet Nothing. I like this song because after the chorus there's the really awesome kick drum part with the synths!!
My fifth place song is Feel This Moment by Pitbull and Christina Aguilera. The drums, again, are awesome, and the riff after the chorus is really catchy. I was humming it the other day and my mom told me that it originally came from some other song. But I don't know the name of it.
Coming in fourth is I'm Into You by JLo and Lil Wayne. It was released a while ago but the beat definitely reflects the Latina side and it's just head-bobbingly catchy.
Third is She-Wolf by Shakira. The first time I heard this song I fell in love with it. The tune is really catchy and every time Shakira goes "aooou!" it sounds really adorable. Her voice also goes really well with this song!
Number two is Backstabber by Ke$ha! I think I've loved all of her songs, but my favorite from them all fluctuates. Right now it's Backstabber. There's a little bit of language, but this is one of her better songs, the theme is to not backstab about people instead of some of the other themes. The beat and melody are terrific, too.
My top song for this March is If U Seek Amy by Britney Spears. Please don't take it phonetically, I know what it spells. I just find the tune incredibly catchy and it's actually about her overcoming a lot of the struggles she's faced from the media and being her own person. I think the melody is what got me hooked on this song.

So, I'll be back again eventually in April with a bunch of new songs I've found that I like. Tell me which ones you like or something. :)

3

Hello friendzies! This is an idea I've had for a while.
I realized a lot of things come in threes, especially names and music.
I decided to put three of things.

The first three is my tribute to Lukes.
If I had to guess, PND would get the first one, Bailey would get the second, and Lauren would get the third.
See if you can tell who all of them are!
1
2
3
Next comes the music!
I've noticed lots of artists entitle their music the same.
Let's vote on which is best.

First would be Justin Bieber, Ke$ha, and Selena Gomez for "Kiss and Tell."
(Personally, Ke$ha's version is my favorite.)

Next is the song "Animal." One of my friends told me about Conor Maynard, and I had just happened to download his song "Animal" from iTunes because it was free. It's actually really catchy. So here's Conor Maynard, Ke$ha, and Neon Trees for "Animal."
(Go Kesh!!! Whooo!!! I love her music, incase you can't tell. :D)

So, let me know which version of each song you think is the best! And since this post is titled "3," I'll leave you with a fitting song to listen to while you look at some funny pictures.

Vat?

First off, I wanted to change my username to Bethy-Anna. Sadly I can't now because I'm connected to Google+.
Secondly, I didn't get wiped off the face of the earth by aliens again. I came down with the flu! I've been sick for a week.
Now I realize how lame going back to school is!
Just kidding!
But seriously.

I didn't know what to post this week, so I decided on depressing songs!
There was this one time I was writing this REEEEALLY depressing PJO one-shot for ff, and I was listening to music, of course. This one depressing song came on and I kinda just totally lost it.
I only have three for you, then I have some hilarious pictures, so yay!
Just don't look at the pictures and listen to the music at the same time, because that'll sound like a donkey.
Hee-awww. HEE-AWW!

This is the first sad song. My besties showed me this one and the end is sad.
This one is from one of the cutest animated films, Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs. I was looking for the soundtrack on iTunes and I heard this song. It leaves a sort of empty gap in you. I think the sad piano is somewhere in the middle.

Last would be the song I heard while writing. The beginning chords really strike me. It just makes you feel empty, too. It's quiet and cold, in a way.

Let me know which song was your favorite. Or which you thought was most depressing.

Next, let's turn around our mood!
These are the best of the best pictures. I showed them to my friend, and I think she thought they were great too. The last one is my favorite. :D
